By accessing and using the Treebute platform and participating in our tree planting events, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or participate in our events.
Platform Usage
Eligibility
To participate in Treebute events, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old, or have parental consent if under 18
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Be physically capable of participating in outdoor activities
- Agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account information
- Providing accurate personal and emergency contact details
- Updating your information when changes occur
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account use
Event Participation
Registration and Attendance
- Event registration is required and binding upon confirmation
- Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the event
- No-shows may be restricted from future event participation
- Events may be cancelled due to weather or safety concerns
- We reserve the right to refuse participation for safety reasons
Participant Conduct
During events, participants must:
- Follow all safety instructions and guidelines
- Treat all participants, staff, and volunteers with respect
- Use appropriate language and behavior
- Not engage in activities that could harm the environment
- Comply with local laws and regulations
- Report any injuries or safety concerns immediately
Health and Safety
Risk Acknowledgment

Tree planting activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to: physical exertion, outdoor weather conditions, uneven terrain, tool usage, and potential contact with plants, insects, or allergens. Participation is at your own risk.
Health Requirements
Participants must:
- Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation
- Bring necessary medications and inform coordinators
- Assess their own fitness level for physical activity
- Wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment
- Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed
Liability and Insurance
Limitation of Liability
Treebute, its organizers, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses incurred during participation in our events. Participants assume all risks associated with their involvement.
Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to maintain their own health and accident insurance. Treebute does not provide insurance coverage for individual participants.
Intellectual Property
Content Rights
By participating in events, you grant Treebute the right to:
- Photograph and video record your participation
- Use your likeness for promotional and educational purposes
- Share impact stories and testimonials
- Create content for social media and marketing materials
You may opt-out of photo/video usage by notifying event coordinators before participation.
Environmental Commitment
Sustainable Practices
Participants agree to:
- Follow Leave No Trace principles
- Use environmentally friendly transportation when possible
- Minimize waste and practice recycling
- Respect wildlife and natural habitats
- Support ongoing tree care and maintenance
Data and Privacy

Cancellation and Refunds
Event policies:
- Events are free to participate in; no refunds are applicable
- Event cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled when possible
- Participants will be notified of cancellations via email and SMS
- Alternative indoor activities may be provided during inclement weather
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Bringing alcohol, drugs, or weapons to events
- Damaging property or harming the environment
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
- Commercial photography without prior permission
- Bringing pets unless specifically authorized
- Using tobacco products during events
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your participation immediately for violation of these terms, unsafe behavior, or any actions that compromise the safety or mission of our events.
Changes to Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically. We will notify participants of significant changes via email. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
